About

The blog was created due to the lack of coverage of GAA outside of Ireland with the sport not having much of a voice in the United Kingdom. With not many websites or blogs dedicated to GAA news and opinion from around the GAA world.

Blog creator Conor Martin said “My interest in GAA is something that I have been brought up with, this is because of my Irish background. GAA features in most families with Irish connections. But I realised the more my GAA interest grew I found there was no blogs or websites that really focused on GAA matches, news and opinions here in the UK. There is also a massive Irish community in Britain who rely on newspapers that come out once a week to get their GAA news back home, they should be able to have to the latest news, preview, results and opinions from Ireland and UK and for it to be available to them whenever they want, meaning they won`t have to wait a week to see club and county results from the biggest games as they will be readily available on And it`s over the bar.”

Overall And it`s over the bar will be the lifeline to the GAA community and fans alike providing them with what every GAA fan needs.
